KRISTA LEMBERGA
Clinical Psychologist

When you should come to me:

  • Burnout and chronic work stress – you are constantly exhausted, struggle to care about work you used to enjoy, can’t properly switch off even on weekends, and rest no longer restores you.
  • Anxiety – persistent worry, overthinking, physical tension, trouble sleeping, or panic attacks that arrive seemingly out of nowhere.
  • Depression and low mood – emptiness, loss of motivation and pleasure, harsh self-criticism, the feeling of “functioning” rather than living.
  • EMDR therapy for trauma and distressing experiences – when a past event (an accident, loss, relationship, or something you find hard to name) keeps coming back in memories, reactions or dreams and “won’t let go”. EMDR is a structured, evidence-based method specifically developed for processing such experiences.
  • Adjusting to life in a new country – relocation stress, loneliness and isolation, pressure to perform in an unfamiliar environment, strain in relationships that moving abroad often brings.

DIĀNA VĪTUS
Clinical Psychologist

When you should come to me:

  • Adult ADHD Support – assistance if you experience chronic difficulties with concentration, constant procrastination, internal restlessness, and chaos in organizing daily tasks, and you want to clarify whether neurodivergence is at the root.
  • Identity and existential questions – feeling “lost”, not recognizing yourself, a crisis of meaning, or asking “Who am I?” and “What do I actually want from life?”
  • Life crises and sudden change – psychological support when your familiar world is shifting: career change, the end of a relationship, relocation, age-related transitions.
  • Values and changing direction – when old goals no longer satisfy, life feels like it’s running on someone else’s rules, and you want to make decisions based on what truly matters to you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Our psychologists work with international clients regularly in English. If English is not your first language either, that is completely fine – therapy works in the language you share.

Yes – a significant part of our English-speaking clients are people who have moved to Latvia for work, study or family. Relocation, cultural adjustment and building a life far from your support network are topics we know well.

Both. You can meet your psychologist in person at the TIEK centre in Riga (Lapu iela 17, Āgenskalns — 10 minutes from the city centre) or online via Google Meet from anywhere in the world. When booking a consultation though, you will automatically be registered as coming in person, so if you are interested in remote sessions, please write to centrs@tiek.lv.

Krista and Diāna work with adults (18+) only. If you are looking for help for a child or teenager, write to us at centrs@tiek.lv and we will recommend another specialist at our centre.

An individual consultation costs 85 EUR (50 minutes). Payment is made before the session – you can pay by card directly when booking, or request an invoice for a bank transfer.

Please note: if you do not attend a session or cancel less than 24 hours in advance, the payment is not refunded.

TIEK is a private practice, so sessions are not state-funded. However, because Krista and Diāna are registered clinical psychologists, private health insurance (including many employer-provided plans) often reimburses consultations fully or partially. Check your policy; we will provide all receipts and documents you need.

You can reschedule or cancel yourself via the link in your Calendly confirmation email or by writing to centrs@tiek.lv. Please do so at least 24 hours before the session.

Absolute confidentiality is the basic standard at TIEK and the foundation of trust between client and psychologist. Our psychologists strictly follow the professional code of ethics and data protection requirements (GDPR). The only exception is the rare, legally defined situation of a direct and imminent threat to someone’s life or health.

No preparation is needed. The first meeting is an introduction – you describe what is troubling you, the psychologist asks clarifying questions, and together you agree on a plan. The only thing you need to bring is the wish for things to get better.
